25 Days of Pride & Prejudice, Day 16: It’s My Party And I’ll Promote If I Want To

Our dear Jane would have been a stately (and skeletal) 242 years old today — which is almost as old as I imagine Miss Havisham was in Great Expectations.

So in honor of Jane’s Birthday, and in honor of Holy-Shit-I’ve-Watched-This-Movie-For-16-Days-In-A-Row, we’re doing a giveaway!!!

Some of the prizes will be a surprise (aka I haven’t figured out yet exactly what goodies you’re going to get) but they will be AWESOME! And some of the ones you WILL get are:

  • A full, original VHS set of the 1995 Pride & Prejudice, in near-mint condition!
  • Numerous Austen-themed books and sequels!
  • A lovely teacup!
  • A bottle of wine!
  • Fun goodies and Austen-themed toys!

All you have to do is SHARE one of the days of THIS BLOG SERIES on your personal Facebook or Twitter pages and TAG or HASHTAG DRUNK AUSTEN!! This is not a random choice: I’ll pick the post I like the best, so tell people how awesome we are and why they should follow us and you’ll have a better chance of winning!

(Make sure it’s public so we can see it!!)

You have until midnight on the 24th, because I’ll announce the winner on Christmas Day in the very last blog.

Happy Christmas/Hanukkah/Kwanzaa/Festivus/Hail Satan Santa!

Check out the other days, so you can share your favorite!!

  1. I shared and tagged. But most importantly, I abandoned the diet, opened a bottle and rewatched P&P which (on this viewing) convinced me that Joe Wright is an exceptional Cinematographer who accidentally signed up as Director instead.
